Also note the New receipts from Bruno Cuccinelli also got off to a great start at XXXXXXXX in what was otherwise an awful Apparel Month for them in June. Both Stores are selling New,  though both continue to have problems selling SALE. Both need to narrow the assortments to cut out end of Season odds and ends.

Marc Weiss: Ken’s opinion on narrowing assortments is right on. We have been delivering this message now for almost 2 years. For very high end Women’s boutiques, narrowing assortments is challenging but a key. Given the continued talk about a slowdown, this could be the last and final time to make needed adjustments for fall and make sure Spring on orders are within plan. Assortment planning can go a long way to helping these boutiques live within their prepared budgets.
