There May be Gold in that Silver Lining

Twentieth century composer John Cage once said, “I can’t understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I’m frightened of the old ones.” Although the enlightened artist passed away in 1992, his words couldn’t have been more appropriate in today’s business climate. Just like fresh goods are what sell, new ideas are what drive business and create curiosity. Don’t just use a new twist on an old method but rather a whole new concept. Try something fun and crazy this month and let the word of mouth carry your message. To quote another enlightened leader, Franklin D. Roosevelt, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”
